RouzMe helps you keep track of the things you've been meaning to do, organized into Pursuits, with your data stored in your RouzMe account. This policy explains what the RouzMe app and the "Send to RouzMe" browser extension collect, why, and what we do with it.
Account information. When you create a RouzMe account we store your email address and authentication credentials (handled by our authentication provider, Supabase). If you sign in with a third-party provider, we receive the basic profile information you authorize (such as your name and email).
Your content. The Pursuits, tasks, links, titles, and notes you create — and any Pursuits shared with you — are stored in your account so they sync across your devices.
Link enrichment. When you save a link, the RouzMe app may fetch additional public information about that page — such as a short description or synopsis — to enrich your task. For certain kinds of links (for example, movies and TV shows), this description may be retrieved from a third-party service such as the OMDb API, to which we send only the page's title or link in order to look it up. This enrichment uses only publicly available page metadata; it is performed by the RouzMe app (not the browser extension), and we do not collect your private browsing history.
Content you send via the browser extension. When you click the "Send to RouzMe" button on a web page, the extension reads only the current page's link (URL) and title and passes them to the RouzMe web app so you can save them as a task. The extension:
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your content or browsing activity for advertising or for any purpose unrelated to running RouzMe.
Your data is stored with our infrastructure provider, Supabase, which hosts the database and authentication on our behalf. To enrich a saved link with a description, the app may also query a metadata provider such as the OMDb API, sending only the link or its title (see "Link enrichment" above). We do not share your personal information with any other third parties except as required to operate the service or comply with the law.
When you choose to share a Pursuit with another user, the pursuit and its tasks you have marked as shared become visible to the people you share with. You control what you share.
Your data is retained while your account is active. You can delete your account from within the app (account menu → Delete Account), which removes your account and associated content. You may also contact us to request deletion.
We use industry-standard measures (encrypted connections, authenticated access) to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information.
RouzMe is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, in-app.
